About

Printfest is an annual festival of original printmaking held at the Coronation Hall, Ulverston. Artists apply for one of about 44 stands; around 76 applied for 42 places last year. Selection is in two anonymous rounds by a panel of eight core team members and two guest judges, one of them the current Printmaker of the Year.

All work must be original, hand-made prints by the artist, for sale; laser and giclée reproductions are not accepted. Artists must attend throughout the weekend and arrange their own insurance. The stand fee is £330 (£340 by PayPal), refunded if not selected.

Applications opened 1 October and close at midnight on 7 January 2027. The festival runs 29 April to 2 May 2027. Awards include Printmaker of the Year and the Printmakers' Printmaker, chosen by the exhibiting artists.
