Senior Art Handler / Technician at Galerie LeRoyer

Galerie LeRoyer is hiring two full-time senior art handlers and technicians for its Toronto location. The work covers handling, inspecting, packing, crating, installing and transporting artworks, keeping inventory across galleries and storage in Toronto and Montreal, carrying out deliveries and off-site installations at client homes, leading exhibition installs and maintaining the gallery spaces through wall preparation, painting and lighting adjustments.

Applicants need three to five years of professional art handling experience in a gallery, museum, auction house or art storage setting, proven skills in installation, packing and crating, confidence with hand and power tools, the ability to lift up to 32 kg, and a valid Ontario G licence with a clean record. Framing, fabrication, conservation support or artwork photography skills are an asset, as is familiarity with ArtLogic or Sortly.
