Senior Layout Artist at Skydance Animation Madrid

Skydance Animation is hiring a Senior Layout Artist in Madrid. Layout artists build shots in 3D space from storyboards and animatics, staging cameras and blocking characters so that each scene reads cinematically and shows how characters and sets will appear on screen.

The role uses designs from character and modelling to create rough layouts, breaks down scenes and manages its own workload, follows supervisor and lead guidance and mentors other artists. Skydance asks for five or more years in VFX or animation, at least three of them in animation, Maya, non-linear editing tools such as Premiere, Hiero or DaVinci Resolve, and knowledge of photography and storytelling; Unreal Engine experience is a plus.
