Senior VFX Artist (Unpublished R&D Product) at Riot Games

Riot Games, the studio behind League of Legends and VALORANT, is hiring a Senior VFX Artist for a small effects team in Riot Discovery Studio, which develops new, unannounced games. Working under the VFX lead and reporting to the senior VFX manager, the artist designs and implements gameplay and environmental effects with a focus on spectacle and gameplay clarity.

As the project moves into production the role also involves setting best practices, sharing craft knowledge and acting as a bridge between VFX and other disciplines. Riot asks for a degree in game art (or equivalent experience), at least five years as a real-time VFX artist, five years with Unreal, Unity or a similar engine, and tools such as Maya, Photoshop or Substance Designer.

The job is based in Los Angeles. The Greenhouse posting does not state pay.
