About
Mikros Animation, the feature animation studio within the Rodeo FX group, is hiring a Set Surfacing Artist in Montreal. Working under the environment supervisor and the set surfacing lead, the artist handles the look, UVs, textures and shading of a film's sets based on client references.
The role needs both technical skill and an aesthetic sense to produce textures and shading networks true to the film's style, and a strong understanding of light, colour and contrast. Mari, Katana, Nuke, Linux, Flow (ShotGrid) and Python are listed as useful extras.
