Studio Assistant & Project Coordinator at Haus of Dada

Haus of Dada is looking for a part-time studio assistant and project coordinator to support Lisa Anita Wegner, a mid-career Toronto filmmaker, performer and multidisciplinary public artist, during work on Elsewhere, a large immersive public art project. Tasks include coordinating studio visits and artist talks with curators and partners, organising a mixed archive of film, photographs, paintings and physical artefacts, taking administrative work off the artist's plate, sourcing and transporting materials and helping coordinate local installations.

The studio describes the ideal fit as an art student, emerging artist, curator, arts administrator or filmmaker who is self-directed and communicates calmly and clearly. An interest in creative accessibility is expected; ASL and an Ontario driving licence are assets.

It is a freelance contract of about 35 flexible hours a month, scaling up in production weeks, paid a fixed C$875 a month ($25 an hour), reviewed after three months with room to grow to C$1,050 ($30 an hour).
