Youth-led Mural Artist Commission at Artswork

Artswork, with young cultural changemakers at Playland in Portsmouth, is commissioning an experienced mural artist to work collaboratively with young people aged 16 to 30 to co-create a mural or a series of smaller murals for their youth-led creative space. The artwork should help the space feel welcoming and reflective of the young people who use it while remaining versatile for exhibitions, performances, workshops and meetings. Current consultations with young people on third spaces, community cohesion and belonging will inform the design.

The listing describes the post as a part-time, temporary commission in the under £10,000 salary band; the fee itself is not stated on the listing page.

To apply, download the application pack and submit an expression of interest via the Artswork web link. The closing date is 16 November 2026.
