About
Duolingo, the language-learning company, is hiring an Illustrator for its Design team, reporting to a Design Studio Manager. The team works on everything from the mobile app and website to branded environments and advertising.
The illustrator concepts and composes character and scene illustrations, creates new characters and develops existing ones, thinks about the user experience around the artwork and collaborates closely with designers, animators and partner teams.
Duolingo asks for an online portfolio, strong illustration skills in Figma, illustration experience in a tech, agency or editorial setting, experience illustrating for animation and willingness to relocate to Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania, or Detroit, Michigan. The salary range is $110,500–$149,500 a year, plus equity and benefits.
