About
ISCP in East Williamsburg, Brooklyn, hosts around 35 artists and curators at a time in its International Program. Residencies are funded three ways: through 40+ partner sponsors (governments, foundations) who run their own calls; through open calls announced by grant-giving organisations; or by direct application, where ISCP reviews the applicant and, if accepted, the artist has two years to secure an outside sponsor.
Applicants must be proficient in English, not enrolled in school during the residency and able to obtain a US visa (usually B1/B2); previous residents may reapply after five years. A separate Ground Floor Program offers subsidised one-to-two-year residencies to NYC-based artists via periodic open calls.
The programme provides a private 24/7 studio, visiting critics, field trips and Open Studios. 2026 programme fees are $2,590.11–$2,862.77 per month depending on studio size; housing is not included, though many sponsors provide stipends or apartments.
