About

Epic Games is hiring a Lead Technical Animator to work on Fortnite and other projects that form part of its collaboration with Disney. The lead works with technical animators, art leads, directors and outsource managers so that character assets are set up correctly at each stage of production, and drives the technical animation strategy, workflows and tools that affect cosmetics and gameplay.

Epic wants extensive experience rigging characters in Maya and/or Unreal Engine, a portfolio covering bipeds, creatures and facial rigs, a keen eye for deformation and physics-driven movement, and familiarity with the Unreal Engine 5 art pipeline.

This listing is for Epic's Cary, North Carolina office (a parallel listing covers other locations). Pay is not stated in the posting.
