About

The Whitney is seeking an intern for its youth learning programmes for the spring 2027 semester, as part of the Ostrover Family Academic Year Internship. The placement is in person from 18 January to 26 April 2027, at 16 to 21 hours a week (176 hours in total).

The intern helps run Youth Insights and drop-in teen programmes, prepares art materials, keeps inventories and files, tracks programme data and helps with outreach. Training covers leading inquiry-based discussions of artworks, researching exhibitions to design art workshops and creating artmaking activities linked to Whitney exhibitions.

Applicants must be rising juniors or above (including graduate students) at an accredited academic programme, with an interest in museum education and K-12 learning. The stipend is $3,000. Applications close on 9 November 2026 and are reviewed on a rolling basis.
