Traditional Painter for Fantasy Book Cover at Dream Of Dreams

Dream Of Dreams wants a traditional painter to produce the cover art for a hardcover epic fantasy novel. The client already has a detailed layout reference fixing the characters, colours, landscape and composition, and the artist's job is to realise it in real paint across a full front-to-back wrap, correcting anatomy and perspective and rendering ornate gold filigree, florals and glowing magical elements by hand.

The artist first submits a sketch or digital block-in for approval, then paints the final canvas and supplies a glare-free, high-resolution scan (at least 300 DPI, uncompressed TIFF or PNG) sized to the print template, as well as the physical painting.

The budget is a flat rate of up to US$1,200, depending on portfolio and experience; the client says this covers the commission and digital delivery, with shipping of the painting handled separately. Work is remote and applications are made through ArtStation.
